Cinco De Mayo Inspired Fashion

Cinco de Mayo is a special day for our fellow man. Celebrating their heritage internationally, we remember Mexico’s the great victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th of 1862.

Get into the spirit by wearing clothes that channel the aesthetic of the traditional vibrant culture of Mexico, in a more modern way. Mexican fashion is usually known for bright colors, Aztec prints and bold patterns. A way to incorporate this into your daily outfits is by creating a more bohemian look, or by incorporating the colors of Mexicos flag into your outfit of the day. In order to create our “Mexican-Inspired” Look we have gathered a couple of pieces we hope you’d like,

This gorgeous crop-top has in bone color, with a delicate bold print that will give you a very flattering shape.

Keeping it traditional we have opted for plain black high-wasted jean shorts that will do a great job at representing the day and make your figure look super flattering.

Key to this look is this twinkle fur cardigan by Tsumori Chisato, in the effort to keep this look modern the cardigan will be replacing the “Pancho” and it will put your outfit together.

Now to enjoy this beautiful Fiesta and stand for long hours in the parade you will need to have comfortable shoes, and this beige flats with embroidery lace sides will leave all your friends wanting to borrow them!

Now that you have your essentials, you should never forget that asides from diamonds accessories are a girl’s best friend.  To finish our look we have opted for a wool hat with a contrast band the same color of the shoes, cat-like Celine sunglasses to give it a bit of edge and a leather bag that has a beautiful Aztec pattern in bold colors.
