If you’re in New York City and looking for a fun-filled sophisticated night, try Uptown! That’s right lovelies, Harlem is on the come up and if you’re a contemporary professional stylista or would like to be in the company of some, you don’t have to travel all the way downtown to enjoy yourself. 125th and Lenox is a bar-hoppers delight! Within a one block radius, you can enjoy a night of food, cocktails, music and good people!
This quaint and cozy venue has wooden interior creating a warm yet chic ambiance. The bar stocks cocktails like Harlem Renaissance and the 321 Pineapple. If you’re hungry opt to seat in the dinning area and enjoy Grilled Atlantic Salman, Jumbo Lump Crabcake, or the Grilled Hanger Steak as an entree. My favorite appetizer is the deep fried filled balls with cheesy macaroni. During the summer time be sure to enjoy the warm weather on the outdoor patio where you can take in all that Harlem has to offer.
Owned by the Top Chef Season Two Winner, Marcus Samuelsson, this restaurant and lounge brings the spirit of the legendary speakeasy back to life! Upon entry you are met by a large circular bar with classic stool seating. It’s the perfect stop for patrons to grab a drink while waiting to be seated.
Fine dinning is offered on the main floor just beyond the bar and choose from a number of delicious appetizers including Crabcakes, Mac and Greens, and Jerk Chicken. Seating is limited as the Red Rooster is always crowded, so it’s best to call ahead. Plan to enjoy a few drinks at the bar, while special guests DJ’s keep the mood vibrant and upbeat.
Head downstairs to Ginny’s Supper Club and enter the magnetic world of Harlem Renaissance A bar, DJ booth with glass windows, and seating allows you to enjoy dinner, cocktails, music, and live entertainment all at once!
Before you leave be sure to stop by The Nook, it’s tasty pastries are sure to satiate your sweet tooth!
A dimly lit walkway leads you into this two story lounge — lighting in the Cove creates a sophisticated allure. Like most venues, the bar area meets you at the doorway. Enjoy tasty drinks like the Harlem Apple and Lenox Smash with Shrimp Skewers or Lobster Mac & Cheese as delightful a appetizer, then head to the back area to sit and socialize with friends. Trail over to the lower level for some fun– oh and don’t miss “Karaoke Wednesdays,” where you can sing and dance your heart out!
