Goode’s Armadillo Palace

You haven’t experienced Houston until you’ve visited Goode’s Armadillo Palace -an authentic Texas experience. Centrally located in Upper Kirby, with a huge armadillo in front and right across the street from its sister restaurant Goode’s BBQ, you can’t miss it!

l (1)

You know your in Texas when the door handles of a restaurant are pistols! Goode’s entrance takes you into the world of the Wild West! Wooden interior gives it a Western salon style ambiance with a bar area centrally located and dinning around the perimeters. Before eating you can’t help but take in the interior. With a deer head overlooking you and animal skin table coverings, the rugged South West is alive. Join the fun when they offer live Texas music throughout the week!

It wouldn’t be Texas if the waitress wasn’t wearing boots, jean shorts and a holster! Armadillo’s menu is the South West at its core. Of course meat is king here! Try the Backyard BBQ Chicken meal served with Goode’s original BBQ sauce, bacon, Shiner Bock braised onions, sautéed mushrooms and melted Jack cheese. Another meat lovers option is the Hill Country Pork Chops that have been brined and grilled to perfection, finished off with a Hill Country Peach glaze. Crispy corn tortillas stuffed with smoked chicken and cheese, served with avocado cream sauce offers a departure from Southern BBQ. Hardy burgers, sandwiches, and select salads are also available.
